So as if my life couldn't get any busier, I thought hey why not throw something else into the mix...blogging...since I enjoy reading blogs, maybe someone will enjoy reading mine, then again, maybe not, but its another outlet for releasing for me, so what the hey...
I guess I could sort of update you on this year so far...
Before January was a very hard and depressing time for me, a lot of change needed to happen and I had no idea this year would bring such wonderful things!!
January: Winter, not my favorite time of year, nothing much went on...
February: Went to a kick a** rock show: Papa Roach, Hinder, Avenged Sevenfold...front row and had the best time ever even though I almost got smushed a few times...got to meet Avenged Sevenfold, very nice guys, I got Zacky's guitar pick and Tobin's (Papa Roach bassist) towel ...Went out for Mardi Gras with some friends and drank what was called a Hurricane Katrina, well I had 5 more like it not to mention some other shots of whatever else...I was so sick the next day and we had to drive to Birmingham to see our boys, never drink and rock out the next day, hungover and trying to rock out, no fun... So we went to see Motley Crue (yay!!) in Birmingham, which I must say is a town that I do not care for...was freezing cold and had to eat Subway in a bus stop hut...lol...its funny now, but definitely not then...I was FREEZING!!! Ian and I saw Sloss Furnaces and decided we are going there during our busy October month of fun this year...(it was so freaky looking and to really be haunted, yikes!) At the show Mr. Sixx made some serious eye contact with me while pointing his bass at me seeing as how I was right in front of him and was screaming I love you and pointing to my SIXX tattoo on my wrist...he smiled and continued to rock out right in front of me most of the night...beautiful! I also got two of his guitar picks and his set list!! Ian made some serious eye contact as well...with Mr. Tommy Lee that is...and Ian's drum stick Tommy threw to him after pointing directly at Ian, went to some teenage kid, who obviously had no clue what he possessed in his hand...we are getting Ian a stick from Tommy at CrueFest...no matter what!!
March: Nothing much going on...
April: Had a 24th bday and it was fun...just very low-key dinner at Carrabba's and had a bunch of friends out...couldn't ask for anything more than to just be surrounded by the people I love on my bday...Started going to a counselor for dealing with the 'other things' in my life that I can't control...it has proved success thusfar...Em had a big 5th bday...can't believe how old she is getting, she is my sunshine...Chester got sick, again and almost had to have surgery, again, but it worked out the kinks and he got better...he really has to stop eating things...that aren't food that is...Chloe is indestructible (like her Mommy, lol)...
May: Got promoted to work at home...yay! That was a big one that I had been holding out for awhile and I was elated to find out that I finally got it...
June, July: Did a lot of bar hopping and discovered that I can't keep up with that me anymore...so I cut back extremely to almost none and changed my lifestyle for the better...better health, longer life...Still went out and saw some awesome bands, one of which we love, Uncrowned and their alter egos, Motley Crude...very nice guys and so glad they got signed and are making it happen...We also took a break from all the stress in our lives with work and spent the weekend in Atlanta just for fun...dinner...and shopping...it did both of us a lot of good...we went to an awesome drive-in and found that such simple things in life can make us so happy...Only having to go to the counselor once a month instead of twice a month now seeing as how things are getting better and my life is finally moving forward...Oh and Ian and I went and looked at rings and designed the most perfect one that fits us and me...it will be ready in September... :) big smiles!!
August: Since this month is almost up, I'll update you to now...Went to Atlanta more times than I have been in a long time...4 times already this month and no complaints since I love that city...went shopping with my sis, Ben and her beau, Jeffro...missed my babe while he stayed home and worked, went to see Papa Roach and Hinder at Wild Bill's which turned out to be an amazing show since we were front and center again (spoiled, yes we are) and Jacoby came down and held my hand on Lifeline and held it to his chest...it was exhilarating...and I got Jacoby's set list...a guitar pick from Hinder...Then we discovered the best hot wings in the world at JR Crickets in Atlanta and went to the Braves/Marlins game...which was a lot of fun!! Mom's making some well needed changes in her life and hopefully for the better which makes me happy...have been saving like crazy if you can believe that with all that has been going on for our big trip to LA in December...totally can't wait for that!!
So that brings us to the current week, I think...I've been keeping Em (my niece) or Sissy as she likes to call me, she calls Ian, Bud...(reference to Urban Cowboy)...and she is always a delight for me to keep...we have so much fun together and I try to make sure that we have something fun planned when she comes to stay...last time we had cookie and pizzazz night...we made everything from scratch...I know she loves it...plus I like to doll her up with makeup and do her hair...at least not too much or her mommy would kill me... :) I'm watching her sleep cause she's had a big day of Kindergarten and is off for a big night of dancing here soon...she makes me smile cause she is the mini version of me...and she's so stinkin' sweet and you can't help but not love her...
I'm ready for this weekend to get here so that I can rock out with my babe to one of our faves...Motley Crue...and hopefully I will be right in front of Mr. Sixx yet again...
I have to go to the doc tomorrow (well my friend, but he is a doc, but I don't like typical docs, so he's okay) to make sure that I am okay...my reflux has been bothering me a lot lately and not sure what's up since I've been very good to my body that is...hopefully nothing bad will come out of that... :) happy thoughts!
And just so you know, my daily fix is Kandee Johnson (let me just say that I love love love love love her!!!)...that girl has inspired me to do exactly what I've wanted to do and have been so scared to do...hair and makeup...so I'm gearing up and have applied for grants and we'll see where that goes, since we have our big trip in December, I will be starting in January...but finally my dreams are coming true...
As I've updated you on everything, know that I couldn't have done this without Ian by my side...he is my rock and I can depend on him for anything and everything...I wouldn't want to have done all these wonderful things this year without him by my side...he makes my heart smile and spending the rest of my life with him is all I care to do...He lets me be me no matter how crazy and chaotic I am or can be...
We love our beautiful life with our two babies Chloe and Chester and are so thankful to the Lord for blessing us in all that we have...my heart is full of joy that I can't believe where I was just 2 years, or even a year ago....It doesn't matter if you are alone in the dark...always have faith and you will find the light....
